How to be Certified?

In order to be able to properly use the Catalava platform, make sure you have the following and please note that EVERY STEP described below is of PARAMOUNT importance.

  1. A web browser that supports WebRTC functionality. Currently supported browsers are:
    • Google Chrome (latest release version)
    • Google Chrome for Android (latest release version)
    • Firefox (latest release version)
    • Firefox for Android (latest release version)
    • Opera (latest release version)
    Do not use Internet Explorer 8,9,10 & 11, and Safari.
  2. A web camera, a microphone and (optional) a headset.
  3. An internet connection with a minimum of 1Mbp/s downloading speed, as well as 700kb/s uploading speed. To verify the speed of your connection, go to www.speedtest.net and do the test (as well as the ping test on the left top of the toolbar).
  4. Enter the credentials (username & password) to log in to the website.
  5. Press the “Join room” button at the Welcome Page to enter the session (Room 1 or 2 as per instructions received).
  6. Press the “connect” button to start connection with the session. (The time counter will begin)
  7. After pressing the “connect” button, an alert will pop up on your browser (usually at the top of the page), requesting permission to use the camera and the microphone. Press ‘Allow’. If it doesn’t work or if there is no ‘allow’ button, just press enter!
  8. Wait until all users are connected. Volume control: bottom right of your screen, right click on the speakers and a mixer will appear, allowing you to set the volume level for the specific application.
  9. In case a problem occurs, please Log out. Then press the refresh button and Log in again, following the same procedure as above. When the session is over, press the disconnect button to leave the session.
